Therapy with Melisa

A place to feel heard, understood, and safe.

I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel heard, understood, and safe to be themselves. My approach to therapy is warm, open, and collaborative, creating a judgment-free environment where you can speak freely, explore your experiences, and work through life’s challenges.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, women’s mental health, and life transitions. I believe therapy should never be one-size-fits-all, which is why I tailor my approach to each person’s needs, strengths, and goals.

With more than 15 years of experience serving my community and six years working in counseling and mental health, I bring compassion, curiosity, and a genuine commitment to helping others feel empowered in their lives.

Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, navigating a major transition, or simply looking for support, you do not have to figure it out alone. My goal is to meet you where you are and help you move toward where you want to be.

“You do not have to figure it out alone.”

Warm. Down to earth. Collaborative.

Why I Do This Work

Care that sees the person beyond the circumstance.

My path into this work began in the community, where I saw how often people are asked to carry mental health struggles alone. Coming from a Caribbean background, I understand that mental health was often stigmatized in the islands and that many families were taught to stay strong, stay private, and keep moving forward even when they were hurting.

My work has brought me face-to-face with people navigating needs that affect every part of life: emotional well-being, family relationships, housing, safety, work, school, and access to care. In community and correctional settings, and through mental health court work in the West Palm Beach area, I have seen how many people need more than a referral. They need someone who listens without judgment, sees the person beyond the circumstance, and helps them find a practical next step.

Those experiences strengthened my belief that care should be personal, respectful, and rooted in real life. No one’s story is too complicated, and no one should feel that they have to figure things out by themselves.

I do this work because I want people to feel heard, understood, and supported as they move toward the life they want for themselves.

“Everyone deserves to be met with dignity, understanding, and hope.”

Community. Culture. Care. Connection.
